Mick Wayne emigrated to America, to play with Joe Cocker. Their last gig was on February 1970 (where they also backed Bowie!). This ´dedication´ to Bowie led to internal problems within the band, and they sadly took separate ways. These tracks have circulated widely on bootleg albums. They recorded three tracks with Bowie: ´Let me sleep beside you´, ´ Unwashed and somewhat slightly dazed´ and´ 'Janine´. They also appeared with him in the BBC sessions for Dave Lee Travis Show in October 20th, 1969. Their tour was shared with playing as David Bowie's band.
All the band members (except vocalist Graham Kelly) appear in Space Oddity (for those who might not know, John Lodge appears under the nickname Honk).
Producer Tony Visconti asks them to act as backing band for David Bowie. After that, they embarked in a long tour to promote the album Battersea power station (Tim didn´t appear there, though). His career has been in close contact with Pink Floyd the starting point was at school, as Tim was there with Roger Waters and Syd Barrett.Ī 3rd single was released by the new lineup: ´ Star child / Sink or swim´. Tim Renwick was born as Timothy John Pearson Renwick in Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England on August 7th, 1949. He can play every style, always with a great taste and distinction. One of the finest lead guitarists I've ever heard.
